My fiance and I set the date for our wedding in January, because I had my heart set on a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. More than enough products are available to help fulfill any bride’s wish for a wedding with a winter genre. Everyone one received toasting flutes and champagne bottles favors from us as a token of our appreciation. As thank yous, champagne flutes are hard to beat. All of our tables were magnificently set up and shined with all the glitter and glamour of the winter time. We had a wedding cake with three layers; underneath it was a cake stand in the form of a sled, and above it was a cake topper made out of porcelain in the form of a snowflake. Our cake serving set was also a winter themed accessory I found while shopping online. There was an icy blue shade to the handles which was accentuated with white snowflakes. Perfect for our themed reception and the handles matched with the winter wedding guestbook and pen I picked out.
The handles on the toasting flute matched terrific the sign in book and cake serving set we had, all with winter designs. The coloring scheme was cool blue and white with a few small snowflakes to match everything else on our table. The people who attended our reception liked the presents and place card holders they brought home with them, and the banquet hall looked just gorgeous. We got our flower girl a necklace and we we let her keep the small crown she wore in the ceremony, and she was pleased with both of them. Our ring bearer was excited because he got his own tee shirt and a yo-yo made of stainless steel. For my bridesmaids I chose tank tops with bridesmaid written across in in crystals and for my maid of honor I picked out a maid of honor shirt and a crystal bracelet. My new husband decided to handle buying the groomsmen’s gifts. He bought a best man mug and a neat pen set for the best man, and everyone else received a battery-operated digital clock. I think everyone was really happy with the thank you favors they received and I think they all had a great time at the reception.
The array of wedding materials I found on the net made our ceremony and reception a dream come true,for both of us. The prices that we found on the Internet were so good that we saved a significant amount of money by looking there. I not only found things for our wedding, but they also had items I could use on our honeymoon. We found a shirt and hats that said ‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ on them, and a pillow to hang outside our door indicating that we did not wish to be bothered. The decorative little pillow really came in handy.

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. The presents and favors I got everyone were things that could be treasured for a lifetime. I wanted them to have something that will help them remember what a great time they had at our reception and how beautiful our ceremony was. I began by selecting keepsake gifts and moved on to things like a wedding keepsake. There were plenty of plans and products available online for creating an enjoyable wedding day experience. Whatever I needed for my reception, I found it there.

I elected to get place card holders with lovely beads on them that doubled as picture frames for everyone to take with them. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be splendid keepsakes gifts. Giving out favors that have no practical purpose always struck me as a useless thing to do. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. I did my best to make sure that the gifts handed out to our relatives and other loved ones were going to be remembered. The first thing I picked out for everyone was a bistro coffee mug. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. They came in their own little packages, so I didn’t have to worry about finding favor boxes, I just ordered some festive hang tags to put on each one.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. One super item we picked out was our wedding cake topper. I decided to go with something with special meaning to us.
We were playing football together the first time we met, in a friend’s backyard. Wednesday, May 6th, 2009The amount of possibilities can be overwhelming when you’re when putting together a ceremony and reception, but it’s also quite a thrill at the same time. I know that when I tried to assist my daughter in planning her wedding, the biggest challenge was trying to get her to settle on one choice. The initial decision was just the overall genre of the wedding: something old-fashioned, or a trendier style of ceremony. We looked through all the themed wedding possibilities and she just couldn’t decide. Some of the options she kicked around were doing a gardening theme or a sand and surf theme. Having a standard wedding ceremony and reception was what my daughter decided, at last, would be the best option for her. With that decision finally out of the way, we were able to start planning.
The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. We focused on the materials we’d need for the reception dinner since her wedding gown and the outfits for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had already been selected. In addition to finding a wedding guest book and a picture album, there were some other things that we had to pick out yet. A lot of the many wedding guest books we found had gorgeous art work on them. A substantial number of the sign-in books had wedding pens that went with them, and they were just as pretty. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. There was a lovely unity candle, ring pillow, flower basket and wedding garter. This gorgeous satin set also included a personalized wedding guest book that also matched wonderful. The price was so reasonable and the selection of wonderful choices was so wide that we were stunned. The picture album we picked out for the special day was really cute; it had all kinds of neat pages for small souvenirs and art. The wedding album was ideal.
The last things to take care of was place card holders, a wedding cake topper, and gifts for the guests. All of the rest of it had been dealt with. A couple of doves formed out of glazed porcelain were what my daughter selected to put at the top of her wedding cake. The pair of doves will make an exquisite figurine that will help her memories of the wedding day last a lifetime. My girl picked out small, shiny silver picture frames to use as place card holders at the reception dinner. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. After looking at all of the items she selected for her ceremony and reception, I’d say she did a pretty good job of it. The extra cash she was able to hang on to by finding good deals is going to get spent when they go on the honeymoon.
The wedding ceremony was absolutely fantastic and the reception was gorgeously decorated and got a lot of positive comments. Their first dance together made us all realize what a handsome couple this really was. I think my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor, but I’ll never foget what a magical night that was, and it was worth every second. With my daughter married, she may have a baby girl at some point in their lives. When we have her baby shower, I will go right back to the same place to find baby shower favors and supplies. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. I saved a ton on that. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
While looking for the thank you gifts for my bridesmaids, I found a very lovely jewelry box I thought they all might like to have. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. They each got leather jewelry boxes, and inside of it was some fantastic wedding jewelry. I chose a beautiful rhinestone bracelet for all of them. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. In fact I bought my pearl wedding jewelry to go with my wedding gown there too. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Sunday, May 3rd, 2009Its been many years since my wedding and I can’t believe how much everything has changed for the better, including the decorations. I found so many different decorations and every kind of embellishment you could think of on the internet. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. Just researching you could find great ideas for a summer or spring wedding. You could get beautiful new wedding accessories for all 4 seasons. There are winter season decorations and all their accessories with the glitter and gold that will definitely be a beautiful addition to your themed decor. I actually heard that some brides and grooms have an outside winter wedding. I thought to myself having a winter wedding outside would be gorgeous in one sense, and a little weird in the other, not to mention how cold it would be. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. To me you should plan a wedding in the winter at a resort that has all the amenities to help everybody stay warm.

After hearing all this I knew I had to go to the store and get blue jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat so that I could join in the fun and excitement. Everybody will always remember this wedding. Our daughter’s wedding was so much fun, that I’m considering have a country western renewal ceremony and reception for our anniversary.
