All the reception tables were set up with lovely mikasa crystal accessories at a wedding I attended last week. They had mikasa weddings and mikasa crystal glassware on every reception table. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. With all the mikasa accessories she had on the tables, it was a picture of elegance.
They had lovely little place card holders that were the cutest silver doves, with bride and groom placecards on their tails. The centerpieces she chose really helped to bring out the beauty of her reception tables. For her centerpieces she had lovely pillar candles with a floral garnish surrounding them. They gave out fantastic party favors for everyone at the reception. Mikasa crystal wedding favors were given to each and every one of us. The beautiful mikasa crystal was packaged in such lovely favor boxes with nice little thank you hang tags attached.
Their wedding cake was another spectacular sight to behold with five layers of luscious chocolate with chocolate cream cheese in between each layer. She topped the wedding cake with a very exceptional wedding cake topper. Since she ordered most of her wedding supplies and decorations from an online wedding store, she decided to check out the cake toppers too, and found out they customize wedding cake toppers. The bride and groom on the cake topper look just like the wedding couple and they did this with only a couple head shot photos of the bride to be and her fiance. It looked just like them. I had to find out where she ordered her wedding accessories from, the cake topper would be great for my mom and dads’ renewal wedding for their anniversary.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. Seeing all those men as their excitement grew when the garter was being removed by the groom. As the garter flew through the air, they were all falling into each other as they tried desperately to grab it up. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. The old guy walked away with a big smile on his face.
The champagne flutes we raised for the wedding toast had the names of the wedding couple and date of the wedding on them and we were given these flutes as extra little gifts. As soon as the toast was finished, the happy couple took to the dance floor for the traditional bride and grooms first dance. Watching them dancing together, so elegantly, was so moving. When the bride and grooms dance was finished, everyone joined them for the next song. I know I went overboard on the dancing, my feet hurt all night long.
We all wished the bride and groom good luck as they left for their honeymoon. I found out from one of the other guests that they were going to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Looks like their honeymoon will be just as fabulous as their wedding was. The remaining guests stayed behind for hours and continued to party.
A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you note from the bride and groom for the wedding gift and for attending. She really got to these thank you’s quickly. She did let me in on her secret online wedding shopping site, where she supplied the mikasa wedding and ordered that customized cake topper from. In fact, I’m getting ready to place my order right now for my mom and dad’s anniversary wedding.
