Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. Since I was having such a hard time making up my mind on which one I wanted to order, I decided to move on to the rest of my wedding needs and get back to the thank you gifts for my girls later. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. The groomsmen all got a Swiss Army Knife type things from my groom, complete with a file and cork screw.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I did go with boxes for jewelry for each of them, and also bought a piece of unique wedding jewelry to put inside. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It may sound like that was a bit extravagant, but it wasn’t. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. The pearl wedding jewelry I picked out to wear at my wedding was from the same spot. There were some awesome bargains on very elegant jewelry items. The groomsmen were pleased with what my hubby got them, and the bridesmaids were thrilled with theirs.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. Might something come of it? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. You never know!
