Beautiful Heart Favors!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

What better way to say how much you love each other than to plan a beautiful wedding in the month of February, the month of love? It seemed like a great idea me, so I opted to have my wedding day decorated with the emblem of love all over our wedding ceremony and reception. I started it off with the loveliest tiara that I ran across online. The invitations I selected were just one of many supplies that I needed to buy for the wedding theme. The cards we used as wedding invitations had a pair of hearts on the front of them, both silver. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.
But that was only the beginning, after I mailed out the invitations I had to start planning the décor and ordering the supplies I would need. I selected a red velvet set of ribbons and bows that I would put on the end of and string between the church pews. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. There were also red and pink roses to help with the décor of the wedding site and red and white roses in my bridal bouquet. We had doves let out of cages as my groom and I departed from the church building, and it was one extra touch that I thought was just majestic.
The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. As a flower girl basket, I decided to go with a gorgeous white satin with lovely lace and satin bows on each side. For the ring boy to carry down the aisle I ordered a gorgeous white double hearts wedding pillow with the two gold hearts entwined, and a white satin ribbon for the rings. My bridal tiara was a pretty good match for the one that I picked out for the flower girl to wear in the ceremony. She wore a pretty pink dress, made for a flower girl, and she did such a wonderful job as a flower girl and looked so brilliant that I thought she did look like royalty. So did the ring boy, he was quite elegant in his little tuxedo with a red boutonniere in his lapel. He carried the ring pillow like a pro and kept in step with the rest of the wedding party. I was so proud of both of them.
The reception tables for our wonderful hearts wedding reception was really picturesque with lovely centerpieces and candles on every table. I knew a heart wedding would be gorgeously romantic, but I never realized just how much until the day of our wedding. I received so many comments on how lovely everything looked and how much they appreciated their wedding favors with little hearts on them. One lady told me that this was the most romantic wedding she had ever attended and the decor was exquisite. I’m so glad everything turned out the way I had always hoped for on my wedding day. I’ll never foget the day we said I do, especially with all the pictures I have for our heart wedding photo album.

Spectacular Hearts Favors!

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

The theme they chose was a spectacular heart wedding, and it was a very loving one one for them to choose. From the invitations to the wedding favors everything had cute little hearts on it. The cheap hearts favors were really exquisite with two silver hearts printed on the front with all the necessary information on where, who and when printed inside. It was a handsome way to design an invitation. Even their unity candle for the ceremony had two little hearts hanging in front, and there were gorgeous candle holders for the unity candle and the tapered candles as well. The look of the altar was glorious, with brilliant flower arrangements and candle settings. The tulle was strung from pew to pew, with little hearts on the pews as well. The fact that they tied the knot on Valentine’s Day no doubt had something to do with the whole hearts idea. I have to admit it was a beautiful ceremony and the bride was simply stunning.
At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The tables all looked elegant with the sparkling champagne flutes and the lovely wine glasses. She really did do a bang up job on table décor There were customized wine glasses with the date of the wedding and the names of the couple, along with crystal champagne flutes. On the table that the wedding party sat at, the new couple had very special champagne glasses. They had a silver double hearts wedding insignia embossed on them, very similar to the hearts wedding invitation they sent out.
They had a little magnificent hearts wedding cake with five layers of heavenly confection. It looked as good as it tasted. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. The wedding cake topper was special, the only one of that type I’ve ever been exposed to. She said she bought it at a wedding website where she got all of her accessories and reception supplies. From a few pictures of the two of them, they created a look-alike cake topper figurine for each of them; it was very impressive. Something like this has to be a really super wedding keepsake.
In the end, we gave a wedding heart to all of the guests. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Actually they had a lot of cute ideas for the ceremony and reception. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. I really thought the wedding cake topper was the most awesome of all. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and the whole wedding was what every woman dreams of. I’m sure the bride and groom are having a great week in Mexico too. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and checking out the photos when they get back. From the pictures on the pamphlets she had, it looks like a beautiful place to visit.
